Administration Guidelines
Principle 1: Ticket Handling, or “Hey, got a minute?”
- Tickets are to be handled in a timely manner once created by players, within reason. When a delay is expected, the administrator should inform the player that it may be a moment before their next reply.
- Administrators are not permitted under any circumstance to handle their own tickets. If you cannot be ruled out as an associate of the ticket, you cannot handle it, and must pass it on to the next available administrator. If another administrator or the Head Admin is not available, forward the information regarding the ticket to #admin-help, and ping the Head Admin.
Disclaimer: Handling your own tickets is grounds for a staff hearing, unless applicable grounds for doing so exist.
Principle 2: Player Privacy, or “Your data and You.”
- Players aren’t necessarily entitled to every facet of information available to staff. The following information is protected under our player privacy principle, though do note, this is not an exhaustive list.
- Client-server information, including but not limited to Ckeys, CIDs, IPs, or similar privileged data.
- Player notes, watchlists, non-centcom ban history, admin situations, punishments of other players.
Principle 3: Regarding Antagonists or “How I Caught The Bwoink”
- TC trades are permitted within reason, and on the condition that a) the admin responsible is held accountable for the trade, and b) that a flat item markup of a few TC is applied.
- Notice: Some items are exclusively banned from being TC traded. These generally are items like Instagib Rifles, Debug items, BST gear, etc.
- Administrators are not permitted to self-assign antagonist statuses or create new antagonists for the purpose of playing them. This includes unique antagonist subtypes such as ERT/DS’s, nuclear reinforcements, etcetera. Any new antagonists should be offered to ghosts whenever possible.
- Notice: If an antagonist gives up their antag status, staff should discuss injecting a new event or refund the points to Dynamic to ensure balanced gameplay.
- Administrators are expected to be fully de-admined when playing antagonists, head roles, or any role that has sway over the outcome of the round.
- Notice: Team Leads such as the Head Coder, Head Admin, and Host are exempt from this, for the purpose of keeping our teams functioning, and data gathering purposes.
Admin Reports
On the off-chance that you believe that staff have mishandled a ticket, made a descision not in the best interest of the server, or otherwise have violated the above principles, you are advised to make an Admin Complaint on the forums, so that it can be reviewed by lead-staff. Please provide as much pertinent information as possible, as leaving out critical information could result in the complaint being denied.
You can find our administration section here on the forums. Please observe individual forum rules.
